Back in December DeAndra planned and sent out invitations to a baby shower for Kassidy and then Kassidy decided to make her appearance two days before the party. Due to sicknesses, the c-section recovery, vacations, etc we were never able to work out a time for a make up party. At least until my mom and sister Whitni decided to throw me a surprise one combined with the one I was throwing for Whit.
Yeah, when they told me (by putting a frame with Kassidy's picture in it on the cake table) I cried. I was so excited to be there for something celebrating my sister and her little girl that celebrating my little girl was too much for my tear ducts to handle.
I always love seeing my babies with my grandparents.
The double shower was so popular that Shannon Toolson and Aunt Mary came all the way from Washington to Utah to party with us ;).
My baby sister is going to be a wonderful mommy.
Dad seems to have a talent for cuddling Kassidy and getting her calmed down for a nap.
Oh my little ball of crazy energy.
My beautiful mom getting the tables organized with the food.
So funny story, I've never made a big cake before and Rissa asked me to make the wedding cake at her reception. Talk about pressure! Nah, actually it was really fun and I'm glad she would ask me. I want to take some decorating classes now. Thankfully "Rustic Chic" is all the rage this season....
I am so happy for Javissa. They are good for each other and seeing how in love they were "poked my heart." (In a good way. Not in an arguing over weather it's sprinkling or raining way. I'm stealing the phrase from a recent viral video you can watch here.)
Yes, that's Rissa's garter. I couldn't help myself. Sorry Hudson.
Hudson and I went on a tour of the Conference Center before we met up with KC. Hud kept randomly sitting and standing in front of things so I would take his picture. So I did. There are several I posted here.
KC came down to meet us at Temple Square and as always, we LOVED spending time with him. I love my big brother.
Sweet picture.
Another self pose by Hudson.
And another one..... I started wondering where he was getting his modeling instruction from after he was rolling around on the ground.
And then I realized it was probably from this guy.
We were able to go to several temples while in Utah and I hope it's a habit/tradition we keep up wherever we are. I want our kids to know by experience how important the temples are. Seeing Hudson taking in the Christus was a special moment for me.
Great memories of cute kids. I do have to call you out on the first one of Huddy in the hammock, that was at Ruido and Irma's in MANSON WASHINGTON...nut Utar. Still a great posting.
