Sickie

This little guy threw up all over his nice vest, tie and pants at church today during Sacrament Meeting. I guess I know how he feels about dressing up! I knew I should have taken a picture before church. And of course I used his spare onesie from the diaper bag last night so no change of clothes.  Thankfully Jensley was willing to share her clothes. Go Cougs! And at least we know we will make beautiful girls!

Sweet Potatoes for Breakfast

Sweet potatoes are a hit! This is after he ate and notice there is no mess because he ate every bit of it! It's a good thing too because I made and froze 16 servings of sweet potato yesterday along with carrots and apples. 48 servings for $1. How's that for all you couponing people?? :)

2 Years and Counting

Today is our 2 year anniversary. On one hand I think two years is nothing at all and on the other, I think about how much things have changed in those short two years.

One thing that hasn't changed is how wonderful, fun, sweet and hard working my husband is. He is such a great dad to our little boy and that makes me cherish him so much more.
I love my little family and am so excited to find out what is ahead for us.
Happy Anniversary Sweetheart!

5 Months

Hudson is 5 months old now! This month's big news is that he can sit up. Granted, he is still a little unsteady but as long as he isn't too distracted he will sit up for awhile on his own. This new skill means he never wants to lay down again. Ever. He tries sitting upright every time we put him in his car seat that is a little reclined.
Hudson is 16 pounds 12 ounces which is the 60th percentile for his age.

And he is a whopping 27 1/2 inches long which puts him in the 95th percentile. We have a long baby! He sure doesn't get that from me.

As usual his head circumference is the smallest percentile at 50th based on his 17 inch skull. Perfect sized head.

Hud loves to talk to us in Hudsonese, which is a lot of high pitched noises, grunting and singing. I'm starting to pick up on the translation, but Travis is still struggling.

He sleeps 10-11 hours a night and takes 3-4 naps a day. Hudson is definitely a cuddle bug and we LOVE IT! He also likes hair. I pick him up and his hands go to the pack of my head to grab a handful of hair and anchor himself. I'm learning why moms cut their hair shorter. Along with those grabby hands are sharp nails. He inherited those from his Daddy. No matter how often or short I cut them, they are weapons.
We love our little guy. He is so happy and smiley that everyone comments on it. We are blessed to have such a wonderful baby.

Hudson's First Christmas

Christmas has come and gone without me posting about Hudson's first Christmas, but rest assured, it is as always, well documented.

Carrie Sorensen was wonderful, sweet and talented enough to come take pictures of our little guy. We are so grateful! They turned out amazing. :) Which reminds me, I still haven't made her a delicious treat to bribe her into doing it again in the future...... Pinterest here I come....

Hud has always been ahead developmentally. When he started reading it didn't shock us.

Though it did make Mama Rae a little nervous that he would slobber his drool all over her cherished Christmas books. He didn't.

Hudson knew it would make for better pictures if there were more diverse than we originally anticipated, so he went to sleep. We got the clue and got some adorable pictures. I LOVE him cuddling with the snowman. Perfect. Such adorable hand dimples.

It took us awhile to convince him not to stick the lights up his nose, but we got decent picture eventually.

Showing us all the grin that gets him all the attention from the girls.

Hope you had a Merry Christmas and a Great New Year's Eve!
