Changes

All of the recent changes are stressing my boy out apparently because he checks his blood pressure daily now.

Kassidy Louanne Volle

We had a c-section scheduled for the 21st of this month but when I went in for my 2x a week testing we found out her heart was decelerating right after some tiny contractions I was having. Not good. I was in there at 11 for my regular testing and by 12 was in my gown with an iv going. It was fast and efficient and baby girl was born (suctioned out of my belly) at 1:28pm on Tuesday the 17th of December. Travis hustled up from work to be in the operating room and mom rushed from school to be in the recovery room. Since it was an emergency c-section, they were already in a surgery we got the tiny OR and they had to hurry and pull out the boxes since they used it as a storage place. My anesthesiologist was wonderful and comforting. He kept a hand on my shoulder through the whole thing as did a nurse who grew up in Manson when Travis went with Kassidy to the recovery room. All in all it went well, but we were in there a long time due to scar tissue making it one of the most difficult c-sections they've done. I like to keep doctors on their toes. I only got a glimpse of her when they whisked her away but Travis showed me a picture of her. When I saw her and got to hold her however, she was so much smaller than the picture made me think. She's our tiny princess :). Now to the part you all really care about, pictures!! Here is our little girl!

Hudson cries when she cries and gives her kisses, hugs and tries to hold her the other times. He's in love!

Exploring

Hudson has so many adventures it's hard to keep up with the ones I want to remember. Here are a few highlights of this past week.

It's tradition to put on my sparkly flower headband when he goes in the bathroom.

Wrestling the broom. He does this often.

Huddy loves building fires with his daddy, uncles and bampa.

I put his crackers on the coffee table and when I turned back around, it was to him moving them to the table. He knows what he wants.

Modeling my shoes.

He acquired my Blizzard. I still love him.

He loves riding Draco the Dragon.

Watching the Sound of Music on his "stool"

Adjusting to our new place

We had to make an early morning run to Walmart when I realized we had one diaper left and a boy with side effects from his ear infection antibiotics.

One of the few times I've convinced him to eat somewhere other than the big table.... The coffee table!

His tree that my mom sent me during my first Christmas in Florida. The lights and bulbs don't come off or get hot so it is perfect for Hudson!

This little man insists on eating at the table, even when it's full of packing boxes.

He's staring at the tv in the bedroom. He loves snuggling and watching it in the mornings. So do I!

Santa Claus came to town!

Bampa Dale was Santa's helper this year so Hudson didn't freak out as we put him on a stranger's lap.

He loved the music! Joe Toolson and Mason were both playing.

It was a fun morning and I'm grateful my tired husband went before leaving for work. Sacrifices of a Daddy! (He had fun too though!)
