Hawaii

We survived the drive to Seattle and the 6 hour flight to Honolulu! Now we are just along for the ride.


I am so happy that Travis has all week off of work. Hudson doesn't know or understand how much more he'll be seeing Travis this week, but he's going to love it.


Kassidy was a superstar on the flight. Hudson was super hyper. It did make me feel better that people told me when we were at the baggage claim, that our kids behaved well during the flight.


A sweet old man gave us this picture because it looked like we were having a good time. What a nice and random gesture!


Met up with Spencer Webster who is in the Navy stationed here with his family.


His son Wyatt did a great job of entertaining Hudson.

Bad Lighting Practice

Today we went to the playground with DeAndra and her kids. The sun was starting to set but was pretty high in the sky still so proved to be difficult to take pictures of the kids without harsh shadows or the picture being washed out. It was still good practice for me though. Here are some of the pictures, as imperfect as they are, the subjects make up for it.

 Rock wanted me to document his "trick" and it was awesome. 

Friday Family Fun

Tonight we drove around taking pictures so I could practice and then for his patience, we rewarded Hudson with time at the school playground. It was fun for all, even Kassidy who was sleeping away in her car seat by the bench.

Practicing with my camera

Travis surprised me with a camera a few weeks after I finally told him that I wanted to learn photography. I have no clue what I am doing, but I have a lot of desire to learn. Thanks to family members supporting me, I've been able to practice (Hudson and Kassidy are quite the models). I feel blessed :). Now to practice, practice, practice! I don't want the pictures to go to waste so I will be putting them here. You are warned :). And apparently the exposure on my pictures are changed once I upload them here so I need to check settings.
