Kassidy 11 Months

Kassidy Louanne has become a pro at walking and climbing up the stairs and throwing tantrums. Yes, our happy little girl has an opinion. Currently you wear 18-24 month clothes and HATE wearing shoes. The second part you get from me.
Kass  you love to cuddle with us, stuffed animals and anything soft. It's so different than when Hudson was little so we are soaking it up while it lasts.
You are the proud owner of 8 teeth with more on the way which means you get a little ornery when they bother you. You mostly sleep through the night but are our little night owl. We can't get you to go to bed and stay in bed before midnight.
Your favorite foods are bread, chicken, rice, anything sweet or chocolate, carrots and peas. You won't have anything to do with a sippy cup or bottle so no weaning is in sight.
You love your older brother and will stand by him to rub his hair. It fascinates you. Hair in general you enjoy playing with, which is why I have to wear mine up almost every day. Sorry baby girl.
You have started to enjoy reading books on your own. You will down and turn the pages and smile and laugh as you look at the pictures. Your favorite books are "The Pout Pout Fish" and anything with Mickey Mouse or Tractors.
Kassidy you love to do what Hudson does, which means you get very excited for Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Paw Patrol on tv. You actually will sit and watch a whole episode now which is relieving/fills me with guilt. It is so fun to watch your little arms flap as you dance around to the music with excitement.
You love your family little one. We are blessed to have you and your happy, sassy spirit in our home.

Cuddling with My Boy

Hudson wanted to cuddle with me today. He wasn't even sick. I love this boy.

Kassidy 10 Months

Kassidy is 10 months old! It's been a busy month with getting over hand/foot/mouth disease and then getting a cold the week after. You are a trooper little one. Even with snot smeared all over your face you smile and laugh.
You are showing your cuddly and snugly side more and more. Your favorite toy right now is an Olaf stuffed animal. Olaf is the snowman from Frozen. You like to bite his carrot nose and that is no coincidence because right now your favorite food is raw carrots. You crawl/stumble around the house gnawing on your little carrot in your tight grip.
This is the stage where EVERYTHING goes in your mouth. Food, toys, anything. Your worst experience putting something in your mouth was when I was with you in the Mother's room at church and heard a crunching noise after you crawled around the chair. To my horror, you were chopping down on a big beetle. To your horror, I dug all the 1/2 masticated pieces out of your mouth.
You love your brother, Hudson. You follow him around as he plays and we are working on him being better about letting you play with him. He adores you, but he also loves his tractors and trucks lined up in a nice row for a makeshift train. You are an awesome Godzilla to those vehicles.

Kass, you are talking so much more! And by talking, I mean babbling away. You are so expressive with your face and the noises you make, I could listen to you all day. I can say that honestly, because I do. Listen to you. All. Day. It's fun to hear you exploring the world and wanting to share that with us.

You weigh about 23 pounds and I have no clue about height. I'm sorry! We are scheduling your doctor's appointment today! You wear mostly 18 month clothes now but some 12 month still.
This lovely strand of pearls was a gift from my Grandma Helen to me several years ago. She got them as a gift when she ordered something from a magazine. I love her (which is why I sneaked her middle name into your middle name) and I love you. I also put you in polka dots for these pictures for a reason! Grandma wore polka dots often.
You are so stinkin happy. As long as you have some attention/someone nearby, there is not a problem in the world for you, unless you bite your finger chewing on your carrot.

Kassidy, you are walking more now. You still are a little wobbly so it usually ends after 5 or  6 steps but you are getting so close to taking off! You are always so proud of yourself and often clap after you achieve a cross-room marathon. We are all proud of you too, of course and Hudson often rewards you with hugs and kisses.

Speaking of kisses, you love giving them. When I put you to sleep you try to distract me with them. Last night while we were Facetiming Grandma and Grandpa you kept giving Grandma kisses.

You are also a great dancer and enjoy the parties we have dancing around the living room with your brother. You wave your arms around and if you aren't wearing anything it makes farting sounds with your armpits.
We love you Kassidy and the little girl you are growing up to be. I can't believe you are 10 months old already, but then I can't remember not having your smiling face and cuddly hugs. We love you forever and beyond!
