New Climber

This boy has the climbing bug. Last week he pulled himself up in the crib and ever since, he can't be stopped! Now, if only he would learn not to pull himself up below tables....

On My Toes

Travis likes to keep me on my  toes and so instead of following the trend and getting me flowers for Valentine's Day, he surprised me with beautiful daisies this morning. Thank you Travis!!

Valentine's Day

Here's some pictures of our day. Including the Bouquet Fit for a Man that I made Travis. I took extra pains to make sure there was gobs of ugly tape and no cutesy ribbons.

Daddy, Hudson and a Car Afternoon Hangout

Hudson started off the morning trying on his daddy's hat. This was his way of telling me he needed some quality time with the man for the afternoon. It didn't hurt that I was able to get some cooking and crafting done too.
It started off with a few rounds of MarioKart.
I think you can tell by the faces and actions who won.
Hudson takes after his mommy and has to move everywhere while playing. It's a wonderful technique.

Thankfully his daddy didn't hold a grudge and cuddled with the cute little guy to continue their car afternoon with some Top Gear.
Going to have to do these Daddy/Son guy hang outs more often!!
Thanks Travis!

3:45 a.m. hyper time

I don't know why he thought before sunrise was a good time to wake up HYPER but he did. He crawled around the crib trying to find an escape and enlisted the help of his sleep sheep to do it. Eventually I gave in and cuddled him back to sleep. It only took 90 minutes...

Rocko's Birthday and a New Tooth

Yesterday was Rock's 5th birthday and we went to have pizza with him at Company Creek. Chayo was also there so Hudson got a lot of loves from her.
Another newsworthy note is that Hudson got his 5th tooth in honor of Rock's 5th birthday. Happy Birthday Rocko!  (not pictured: Birthday Boy)

New Tooth

Hudson learned the hard way he can't bite his lip anymore because he has two teeth on top now. Yay! Poor guy had a bloody lip for a little while though. Don't worry, we took him out to dinner to celebrate his new chompers :).

6 Months

Hudson's just trying to keep you on your toes.... this isn't a 9, but it is a 6! This month has brought a few new things developmentally.
First of all, he is learning to crawl!! Well, it might be more like the dance move "the worm" but he moves from point A to point B to point G. We have to pay extra attention, especially if there is something that lights up, makes noise or moves anywhere in his line of sight.
Hud is one ticklish boy. His thighs, the lower sides of his back, and his neck are the main places.
He also loves to be upside down or thrown in the air. I put his face by my shoulder then holding his thighs lift him upside down in the air. It's one of his favorite things and he will try crawling up my shoulder to get me to do it again. And don't even start me on the belly laugh he does when he gets to go upside down.
Aunt Rissa will be happy to know he adores being thrown in the air and spun around. These were things she tried to do when he was younger but he wasn't a fan...yet. Now days I get my arm workout by tossing him in the air.
His upper right eye tooth came in on his 6 month date (February 2nd). He has three more coming in on the top that should pop through any day now. Poor guy!
My little baby isn't so tiny anymore. He is mostly into 6-9 month clothes but even those shirts are a little short (see above picture) and we move on to 12 month ones. We don't have exact measurements but he is around 18-19 pounds, and 28 inches long.
Huddy is loving bananas and oatmeal. It's his favorite so far but he has tried sweet potatoes, apples, and carrots.  It's nice that he enjoys his high chair (for the time being) as well. And if anyone is in the kitchen or living room, he cranes his neck to get their attention and make sure he hasn't been forgotten by his adoring public (mostly Grandpa when he is on his computer).
It is so much fun to watch Hudson develop and grow. He becomes more aware of his surroundings every day and wants to be a part of them by exploring. Every one comments on how smiley he is and it's true. He is one happy baby and lately he is sleeping well which keeps mommy and daddy happy too. There is no using phones, tv's, or computers without this little guy wanting to help us. And helpful he is.  We love our sweet little boy.
