This blog post was NOT written under duress...

So tonight Lindsea beat me and told me I'd better write something on the blog or bad things would happen. I laughed it off, at the time. Later on, after I'd put her to bed, I turned on BBC America...and there was NO TOP GEAR SHOWS ON!!!!
So I turned the channel to the Cartoon Network in hopes that there would be some Family Guy or American Dad on, BUT THERE WASN'T!!!!
At this point, I was starting to get worried, but was trying to shrug it off. I went to the kitchen (which is a few steps from our new loveseat) to get a Mountain Dew from the fridge. I opened the tab and got some sweet nectar on my hand. As I put the can down at the sink to wash my hand.....THE CAN FELL IN THE SINK!!!

Such is my love for my sweet wife that after she clearly (!!!) cursed me, I still am writing a blog.

Much has been happening in the Volle household. We both are working. We both have days off, often together! We've gone to Walmart, often several times a week. And we often buy things! We haven't watched many movies lately, because Hollywood has displeased me with the quality of movies coming out soon. In other news, I bought Halo: Reach! It's a fun game that I have no one to play it with me, so I just play it by myself. Too bad my brother Michael has started college, otherwise I'd play it with him.

Speaking of the bro, he's going to school at BYU-Idaho and the whole family is happy for him. I'm pretty sure he's in a good place. So far he seems to be settling in well. If any body we know is out there and sees him, say howdy for us. You'll probably see him walking around campus. He's the tall, blonde, good looking kid from Illinois. The "s" is silent. I feel I need to say that because all you Idahoan people forget that and I don't want any of you to embarrass yourselves.

Finally, today (9/15/11) was the 8 month anniversary of mine and Lindsea's wedding. I know that this fact has escaped many of you, as we did not have any presents or gift cards in the mail. This is an egregious lack of etiquette. I am sorry. You are now voted off the island.

However, because I love my wife, I'll let it go.......this time!

Sick Day

I woke up in the middle of the night not feeling well. A bug has been going around my team at work and I guess it was my turn to get it. Then at 6:30 am I woke up to go to work and quickly realized I wasn't going to make it. Sadly it was while I was bent over the porcelain throne with my wonderful husband holding back my hair. After sleeping 4 more hours I cuddled up on our new loveseat to watch my new favorite tv show, "Man, Woman, Wild". It may just be because I'm sick, but it is so sweet to see how the husband and wife interact. They are a really cute couple. I'm convinced Ruth and I are long lost relatives and she got all the skinny genes of the family. We do share the same maiden name....

Anyway, back to my exciting day... I decided I could make it to church long enough to take sacrament so made a quick run over to the chapel. As I got out of the car my seat belt got hooked in my skirt pocket and ripped my skirt halfway down the side. After the internal debate of "can I hide this well enough to stay? or do I need to just get back in the car and go?" I pulled my shirt down as far as it would go, strategically positioned my purse to cover the rest and small stepped it into the back row of the chapel. It was a blessing to be there and feel at peace even after my crazy morning.

Now I'm back home cuddled up on the loveseat again, sipping fluids and hoping my afternoon and evening is as uneventful as possible. Oh, and watching episodes of Man, Woman, Wild. Love this show.

Happy Fall

Fall is one of my favorite times. Harvest time, chilly weather, Halloween = lots of treats! While I don't get the harvest or chilly weather here in Florida, I plan on enjoying Halloween :) We spent some time in the children's section of Barnes and Noble and I ended up buying 3 books. Lucky Travis got a reading of the books on the way home. I LOVE fall!
