Kassidy Louanne Volle

We had a c-section scheduled for the 21st of this month but when I went in for my 2x a week testing we found out her heart was decelerating right after some tiny contractions I was having. Not good. I was in there at 11 for my regular testing and by 12 was in my gown with an iv going. It was fast and efficient and baby girl was born (suctioned out of my belly) at 1:28pm on Tuesday the 17th of December. Travis hustled up from work to be in the operating room and mom rushed from school to be in the recovery room. Since it was an emergency c-section, they were already in a surgery we got the tiny OR and they had to hurry and pull out the boxes since they used it as a storage place. My anesthesiologist was wonderful and comforting. He kept a hand on my shoulder through the whole thing as did a nurse who grew up in Manson when Travis went with Kassidy to the recovery room. All in all it went well, but we were in there a long time due to scar tissue making it one of the most difficult c-sections they've done. I like to keep doctors on their toes. I only got a glimpse of her when they whisked her away but Travis showed me a picture of her. When I saw her and got to hold her however, she was so much smaller than the picture made me think. She's our tiny princess :). Now to the part you all really care about, pictures!! Here is our little girl!

Hudson cries when she cries and gives her kisses, hugs and tries to hold her the other times. He's in love!

  1. Huddy, Jens and Ryker are so good with her, so why does her mother always start yelling when they go near her??? This little girl has eyes open, I've never seen them when I hold her.
