I felt kinda bad this morning that I got the day off and Travis had to work at 8am. If you know him, you know he is not a morning person. When his alarm went off he was still in bed so I decided to iron his shirt to help him out, didn't want him to be late! (ok, and I felt a little guilty I was going to crawl right back into bed for another couple hours). I made sure he was ready to leave on time and this was our conversation.... oh and his bike has had problems the last 2 days making him late for work....
Lindsea: Why don't you take my car today? I'm not planning on going anywhere and your bike's been acting up.
Travis: No, I want you to have something in case you want to go somewhere.
Lindsea: Ok, but you should take a car key just in case your bike doesn't start so you don't have to walk back to the apartment to get it. Just in case.
Travis: No, I'll be fine.
........10 minutes later- I've crawled back into bed........
Phone rings. It's Travis.
Travis: Hey babe, my bike died on the way to work. Ran out of gas. I need a ride.
...
Ahahaha! Men. Had you let him come up with the idea to take a key on his own, it would have been a good idea to him then. Marriage is awesome!
ReplyDeleteThat bike uses so much gas, he must have to fill it once a month. Lucky he has LLL on speed dial, no need to buy AAA.
ReplyDeleteBut you are so sweet, I bet you didn't say "I told you so..." :)
ReplyDeleteI think he should rig something so that he can carry a reserve of gas with him... like a flask or something. My only concern is spontaneous combustion, it does get really hot down here. Oh and there is always the fear that Travis might forget that the flask contains gasoline and not Mt. Dew.
